Classic Games: Goal 3

In the 80's, there was no such console as PlayStation, there was Atari. Also there wasn't CDs, you supposed to buy casettes. When a friend got a new game, we used to come together and play it. If we did't have enough joysticks, I used to bring mine and have a good time. But what about the games?
One day, I went to rent a game excitedly. But this excitement didn't last long. Because I couldn't find a good game and chose a random game. How could I know it would be one of my favorite game in my childhood.

What is Goal 3?

"Kunio Kun no Nekketsu Soccer League" which is known as "Goal 3" is an old soccer game as you can see. After you skip the main menu, you have three choice; League, Match and Penalty. League is the main part of the game and Japan is the only selectable team. You play against 12 teams and they are Korea, Tailand, Mongolia(Asia League); Cameroon, Guinea, Senegal(Africa League); Argentina, Brazil, Mexico(America League) and England, Germany, Italy(Europe League). Match mode is multiplayer mode of the game and 2-4 players can play at the same time. But there are six players in each team. Penalty is maybe the most fun part of the game and you have to score a goal against a goal keeper in a time limit.

Musics are also very good. Musics and pitch type change depending on where you play. Shoots that are special for every team, wind that takes the football to the other part of the pitch, lightning strikes and many other details that I can't remember. Maybe these details make Goal 3 a classic video game.

Goal 3 still makes me smile when I think about it. Maybe you can still play it with an emulator. If you have this chance, don't miss it. It's the game that takes me back to my childhood.
